If you have been thinking about getting a sauna in your home, there is no better way to do it than to put it outdoors. Even in the coldest climates, saunas are very comfortably warm when placed outside, and one can feel a comfortable breeze when stepping outside the steamy hot room.
Many shy away from such things as it would require them to build a whole new building, but today you can get outdoor sauna kits like these, which are specially designed for people who don’t need a big sauna, and don’t have the possibility of converting one of the rooms in the house in to one.
What will you get in the kit?
Usually these kits can be bought pre built, or as a DIY sauna kit. For the latter you will get all pre-cut pieces and all you have to do is assemble the thing. There are usually options to get it without the heater, or with the heater, but it is usually recommended to get it with the heater as the manufacturer has chosen one that will perfectly fit the sauna room of this size. That way you will not have a problem where your electric sauna heater is not powerful enough, or way too powerful, and you are simply paying too much for the heater.
Getting a kit like this is a better option that trying to build a shack on your own, as to get a proper sauna experience, you will have to have a proper sauna. Both steam and heat insulation have to be high quality to avoid them running out. Also you need to be able to dry the room after use with ease, as the humidity can ruin the wood.
Generally cedar wood or apache-wood is used as they dry very quickly, and also give a nice odor to the room which is commonly associated with a sauna. They both look nice as well, and are very durable.
